Purpose Driven Agency Approach Positions January Digital As 3X Global Agency Awards Finalist

Our vertically integrated teams of 85 employees across the New York City and Dallas offices are experienced retailers, CPG leaders, technology builders and media innovators who enable agile growth by combining our single source data truth and strategic consulting mindset with flawless execution. We work with leading global brands such as David’s BridalCariuma, The Sak and Peapod Digital Labs. Recognized as best-in-class over 30 times in 2021, our work has been celebrated by Digiday, The Drum, Glossy and MediaPost. 

And now, we are beyond honored to be Global Agency Awards finalists for Best Agency Culture, Digital Agency of the Year, and Independent Agency of the Year.

We are passionate about improving the lives of our people by fostering a work environment that breeds individuality, independence, creativity, and trust. We view our people and potential new hires from a holistic perspective as their unique experience enriches the quality of work we deliver to our clients, the end consumer and the workplace our employees thrive in. For us, it’s about finding individuals who bring their curiosity and have the potential to grow within our team. We have intentionally shifted the way we hire to emphasize cultivating team members that showcase tenacity and grit in conjunction with a diverse background and experience. In early 2021, 90% of employees rated DEI efforts as positive and in the most recent survey +30% of employees noted a positive and actionable difference in workplace inclusivity.  

As well, to ensure our employees are paid competitively with the external marketplace and that we are creating internal equity, January Digital embarked on a four-month comprehensive pay equity and salary study in early 2021.

Beyond that, we created Well Works, our internal employee wellness program designed to remove all barriers to mental, physical and self-care services. Within the first month of it being offered, 70% of our employees adopted the mental health resources. Our company culture is our biggest source of pride and continuously evolving with careful consideration to ensure our people are supported, included, heard and valued. 

In addition to our cultural mission, we purposefully approach our work with a consultant’s mindset that largely contributes to our growth. By first understanding the client’s channel agnostic business goals, we can then help brands navigate both internal and external challenges that allow for a consultative conversation that impacts more than their digital business. In 2021, our teams partnered with leading brands in business planning, brand positioning, customer intelligence, tech adoption, financial planning, agency selection and in-housing, which led to a 62% revenue growth YoY. To better serve our client base, January Digital’s employee headcount grew by 37% in 2021. 

Fueled by our purpose driven mission, our Good Works program is much more than a box checked in the corporate philanthropy column. It is a dedicated holistic approach to nonprofit partnerships that combines donations, volunteering, and long-term support to build long-lasting and meaningful community impact.  Most recently, our$100,000 donation to build the January Childcare Center at the Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support organization in Dallas is not only a location of support for the families of abuse, but serves as a place where January Digital employees and clients can volunteer and support children who have been robbed of their childhood.
